European Centre for Laboratory Excellence masterclass

On June 4-6, the European Centre for Laboratory Excellence will host a masterclass, "Temperature Measurement in ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratories" in Valletta, Malta. EUROLAB is delighted to be a partner and to support this event.

The three-day training invites professionals from ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratories and other industries who are interested in learning the foundations of temperature measurement principles and ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.

Day 1 will focus on Temperature Equipment Calibration Certificates and Measurement Uncertainty. Participants will discuss important elements of calibration certificates, how to interpret and use these documents, and how to improve accuracy. In addition, participants will learn to manage their measuring equipment efficiently and understand measurement uncertainty. During Day 2, participants will become acquainted with temperature measurement while using different types of thermometers and learn how to select and use them correctly, while avoiding common errors in measurement. The last day will take a closer look into the all temperature chambers from labs and industry – refrigerators, freezer, incubators, dry ovens and dry sterilizers, as well as the basic specificities of similar equipment like climatic chambers, thermal baths and autoclaves.

At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate. The event will be held in English.
